Red Cross: one person in every home should know CPR
Red Cross CPR expert Connie Harvey was on the Today Show this morning for a new segment called First Aid TODAY. She said that at least one person in every home should know CPR. This is a call to action that everyone should follow through with.
CPR classes are not expensive, and can empower you to be able to act in those times when the lives of family and friends are most in need. It’s a skill that should become almost second nature.
Because we want as many people as possible to learn CPR, we have our CPR training video library available completely free to anyone that wants to learn.
Run, don’t walk, if you don’t know CPR. Don’t wait to learn until it’s too late.
They also mentioned that everyone needs a first aid kit. In fact, everyone should have first aid kits accessible no matter where they are. At home, at work, in the car and at school and sporting events, in your boat or RV.
In any emergency, do whatever you can to help. Call 9-1-1 and avoid inaction. Do whatever you can to help.
