EA Sports Active Blog: Day 22 – Lots of Upper Body

EA Sports Active Bob GreeneToday’s workout had lots of upper body exercises.  It had some of most everything that I’ve done with my arms and upper body.  It was a pretty decent workout today, and managed to show me just how far I have come with the program.  This would have been a very hard workout to complete a month ago, when I started it.  Since I’ve been keeping up with it, though, the exercises are becoming much easier to complete.

EA Sports Active Blog: Days 19 and 20 – REALLY HARD DAYS

ea-active-11So, after a break for day 18, came days 19 and 20 and the workouts were not just difficult, they were really hard!  And I’m on Medium Intensity, mind you.  I’m thinking that, when this is complete, I will start again, but on the lighter intensity mode, and do that one while also starting another fitness regime on top of that.

EA Sports Active Blog: Day 17 – Tennis and Volleyball with the Balance Board

EA Sports ActiveThis morning’s workout was definitely a very accelerated pace from prior workouts.  From the fast kick-ups over long distances, to running, to squats, it seemed to be a continuous battle to get to the end of some of the workouts.  Making it to the end, though, was worth it every time, though my arms and legs are starting to feel much tighter.  I’m looking forward to the break tomorrow.

EA Sports Active Blog: Day 16: Baseball and an accelerated pace

EA Sports Active Baseball ThrowToday’s challenge was the first of the accelerated pace of the 30 Day Challenge, coming after a one day break.  It sure didn’t feel like that, but I guess they’re going to work it up to that promise.  There were some exercises that did push me to the limits, but overall, it left me kinda disappointed.  I didn’t seem to sweat as much as prior days.  Perhaps that’s because I’ve aquired a sweatband, and look very 80s now, I don’t know.

EA Sports Active Blog: Days 13 and 14: Upper and Lower Body Strengthening

EA Sports Active Blog: Day 11 – A little Dancing and a lot of Cardio

Nintendo SweatbandNow that I’m back on schedule, hopefully I won’t mess up too bad and miss any more days.  One thing I did mess up on is setting really super high goals to meet.  I thought that I was just moving the goals to a further amount, in calories and in number of workouts in so many days.  So I set a goal of 3000 calories.  Big mistake.  At my current rate, I’ll make that goal but not before the date that goal should be reached.  Ah well, something to think about as far as interface design in the future, EA Sports.

EA Sports Active Blog: Day 9 – Volleyball and Tennis

EA Sports ActiveToday’s workout featured a run that never seemed to end.  I was really tired by the end of it, and after that were lunges.  Lunges are still very difficult for me, but curiously I started to notice them becoming easier to complete.

This time around there were a couple of sports in the mix.  Volleyball and tennis.  I did really well at the Volleyball, and I think I’ve figured out how the sports work.  If your timing is right and your technique as well, you’ll hit the target.  If neither one is right or either one is off a bit, then you’ll miss.  With Tennis, I put that to the test, as the first round I did really well.. but then I lost my rhythm and did really bad.

EA Sports Active Blog: Days 5, 6 and 8 – Basketball

EA Sports Active BasketballIt’s been a pretty busy week, since the last workout, so in order to complete the 30 day challenge on time and correctly, I had to do some heavy workouts. I missed three days of workouts, and as a result, I wasn’t going to be able to meet my goals for the challenge. So I did what any sensible person would do, and spent the afternoon doing three workouts in a row. I decided that I’d do yesterday’s workout today, which I’ll be doing sometime soon.
