We’re re-launching Pro Home Safety as a blog to answer your questions about various topics on safety around the house. We’re very excited to venture in this new direction with the site, as it has been sitting around without any real change for about three years now.
The idea is that it will be a blog similar to Roy on Rescue. It will have entries that are both video based as well as text based. Earlier this summer, I worked on a new design for the site after being inspired by the logo that we had developed for it a while ago. After the design was finished, it inspired the concept for a blog that will run along side Roy on Rescue and this blog.
I’m very excited for the launch of this new blog, and I hope that you will come to find it as useful as we hope that it will be.
Visit the all-new Pro Home Safety today, and submit your questions with the contact form you find there!

There are different types of CPR. The ProCPR certification is a Healthcare Provider level certification. Healthcare Provider means that you will have training in adult, child, and infant CPR/AED for 1 and 2 rescuers. You will learn how to check for a pulse and how to give rescue breathing for a person who has a pulse, but is not breathing. You will also use a bag valve mask and a rescue mask to give ventilation. Healthcare provider CPR is most often required for anyone who is licensed to provide care.
Lay Rescuer CPR is much more simplified. In lay rescuer, you may do adult only CPR/AED or adult, child, and infant CPR/AED. Also, lay rescuers do not check for a pulse. Lay rescuers also only learn 1 person CPR. We offer certification in ProFirstAid (adult, child, infant) and ProFirstAid Basic (adult only). Lay rescuer CPR is most often needed for teachers, construction workers, general workplace, etc.
You most likely will need to do our blended course which includes a hands-on skill evaluation. If your employer will accept a 100% online course for re-certification, you can do that as well at our website. You can go to www.procpr.org to complete your training and certification.

On the rare occasion that a refund may be necessary, ProTrainings is passionate about it’s customer-centric policy. We want to make sure that all of our students are completely satisfied. Not only do we want to make sure that the ProCPR blended course has been offered to you and your administrator in order to fulfill the requirements of the accredited CPR certification, we want to make the process as painless as possible. After all, that’s why you chose ProTrainings in the first place. Though the blended course requires a hands-on skills evaluation for completion, with ProTrainings, it’s simple to complete.
The easiest and most convenient way to find a local instructor who can test your skills on the manikins, is to go to www.blendedcpr.com and select your course, enter your zip code and then the miles you’re willing to travel in order to find an accurate match for your skill evaluation. The instructor/evaluator’s name, phone number and price will be listed there. You may also be evaluated by an instructor of your employer’s choosing, or by an certified instructor of your choice who is certified at the level of training you took with ProTrainings. To become approved as an instructor is a simple process, and the half page application is found in the skill evaluation check off packet on www.blendedcpr.com.
If for any reason you are still not completely satisfied with your ProTrainings experience, please let us know and we will refund your payment immediately.

Many have about our bloodborne pathogens training, and if we meet the OSHA requirements. The simple answer is yes, we do meet the OSHA requirements. We are available M-F 9am-5pm EST to answer questions via email and phone support. In addition to that, we have qualified trainers available via cell phone for important questions.
When an employer uses our video training for the content of the bloodborne pathogens training, it is the employer who becomes the trainer. In that case, the employer needs to be available to answer the students questions. Often an employer has a designated safety manager who carries out those duties. Even when employees use our online version, the employer is still the trainer who needs to support the employee’s questions. A major benefit of our training is that we do not just sell materials or training content. We fully support our training and are available to answer the employer’s and employee’s questions. Most organizations that provide bloodborne pathogens training do not provide nearly the amount of support that we can provide.
It is standard practice for employers to offer self-paced bloodborne pathogens training using DVD video, internet, or simple written materials. It is the responsibility of the employer to choose a training method that properly prepares their employees for their job duties. We would be happy to provide the training for your company if you desire.

One question that we are often asked is if we can provide a replacement copy for their AHA provided CPR certification card.
Traditional training classes are responsible for their own students, so the best way to get a copy of your card is to contact the instructor who provided your class.
ProCPR is an online private training company not connected with the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, although we do get a lot of their students seeking assistance. If you would like further assistance, feel free to contact us via ProCPR Customer Support.

A few years ago, I wrote an entry about our new affiliate network. I didn’t have a chance to write much about it then, because we didn’t even have a website for it yet. We have now had one up for a few months, and its’ been doing really well for those that are taking part. There are three different variations depending on where you classify yourself. You could earn Amazon or iTunes gift cards, cash and discounts on training courses.
Salespeople
Earn additional income by sharing ProTrainings courses with friends, co-workers and businesses. ProTrainings makes selling courses easy by providing customized discount codes and online sales tools that track and credit each sale you make.
Friends & Fans
The friends and fans affiliate program is perfect for anyone who enjoys ProTrainings courses and would like to share them with others who need training. Getting started is quick and easy, and everyone wins.
Instructors
For instructors, you already teach courses, but we can make that a more streamlined process, plus, you can refer more people to classes and make some more money doing that.
If you would like to join our affiliate network, go to our ProTrainings Partners site.

There’s a pretty good reason that you haven’t heard so much as a peep from us on this blog in a month or so. We’re busy with creating more content for you!
We have some really great plans in the works, and are building what we believe is the future of education in these fields.
One thing that I’ve spent a lot of time on are DVDs of some of our programs. These discs cover our CPR, First Aid and First Aid Basic programs. They’re not available for the general public, but for our growing network of instructors. If you’d like to become a skill evaluator for us, however, then you can sign up any time!
I’m also looking forward to the new programs that we’re developing. I had come up with a pretty great idea within the last month, and it looks like that program could be put together by the end of the year. I have to be canned about it, though, for legal reasons (I want to make sure that it is launching before revealing the concept).
We also have a pair of great new trainings that I have wanted to do for a long time. It looks like they both may actually happen this year as well. For one of those, we even created a Twitter account.
One thing’s for sure, there are a lot of great things planned, and new things are coming soon. We’re excited about the future of training, and can’t wait to bring these tools to you so that your life is also improved.

How many of you have had a conversation that went exactly like this?

If you use Tumblr, we’ve decided to give that social network a shot. We will be updating that about once per day, with funny things like this that we find to share, as well as other CPR and First Aid related pictures, videos, etc. We think that you’ll enjoy it.

We’ve recently launched a new program that we’re very proud of and excited about. We are hopeful that many of you will want to take part in this, and train to become a CPR Skill Evaluator.
The course is blended, so while you can watch the videos and take the test online, we also require some extra training which we can do via webcam.
Becoming a CPR Skill Evaluator will also get you listed on Blended CPR. That way, people in your area can contact you for a skill evaluation, giving you another source of income.
You can train to evaluate for our CPR, First Aid or First Aid Basic programs. Learn about each of the Skill Evaluator Training Courses.
You can learn more, or get started today at ProSkillEval.com, and if you’d like to learn more, download the Student Manual PDF all about the program.

We worked pretty hard on the training video library. We spent time re-filming all of the necessary videos to cover the 2010 CPR guideline updates. The updates apply to our CPR and First Aid training libraries:
ProCPR Training Videos
ProFirstAid Training Videos
ProFirstAid Basic Training Videos
ProFirstAid Advanced Training Videos
It has been a lot of work, but it’s worth it to make sure you’re all well trained and up to date.
We’ve also uploaded all of the videos to our YouTube Channel. If you’d like to subscribe to the channel, we do add new videos there from time to time.
We hope that you enjoy the training videos.
